Earlier today, Electronic Arts happily announced that its Medal of Honor reboot sold 1.5 million copies worldwide in just five days. What wasn't in the publisher's original announcement was a dollar amount. Now speaking on a Fox Business TV segment, EA CEO John Ricitiello has confirmed that the game generated a very healthy $100 million.
Bungie's Halo: Reach generated $200 million on day one (and on just one platform: Xbox 360), but $100 million is certainly nothing to sneeze at and the real holiday shopping season hasn't even begun yet - so there's ample time to significantly grow that number through retail and paid DLC in future.
Some analysts believe Medal of Honor will end up selling around 3.5 million units this year.
