EA & Sega Ink Distribution Deal

Electronic Arts and Sega have announced a new partnership to distribute EA titles in the Japanese market.  Sega will act as the sole distributor of EA titles in Japan, beginning with the release of Grasshopper's Shadows of the Damned on September 22.  The title has already seen a release in North America and Europe, despite being created by Japanese developers Goichi Suda and Shinji Mikami. By August all EA titles will be published through Sega.

According to a statement translated by Andriasang, EA is hoping to use Sega’s distribution channels and expertise to expand its footprint in the Japanese marketplace.
