Despite multiple claims of Gabe Newell not attending E3 and Valve’s cancellation of a Press Conference at E3 2010, Newell stepped up to the Sony Press Conference to show off the sequel to Portal, (we knew, but sadly couldn't share at the time).
Gabe also expressed his delight at the prospect of automatic updates and user-friendly content via Steamworks that he says will make the PlayStation 3 version of Portal 2 the “best version” out of the other consoles.
The quick demo showcased GLaDOS resurrecting from the “dead” while the Aperture Science facility slowly rebuilds itself. “I think we can put our differences behind us, you monster.” No word on any cake, but the game looks like it will feature several new gameplay aspects, including dynamic rooms that morph. More details will come soon, but for now, get back to listening to “Still Alive,” she wasn’t kidding.
Portal 2 will release on PS3, along with PC and Xbox 360, sometime in 2011.
