E3: PlayStation 3 Nets Some Exclusive Content

Posted June 15, 2010 by M.H. Williams

While the exclusive third-party title seems to almost extinct these days, the trend lives on in downloadable content deals. While Microsoft already announced exclusive content for the Call of Duty series at their presser yesterday, Sony announced a few deals of their own at their press conference today.

The first two announcements came from Electronic Arts. EA’s Medal of Honor reboot will be getting a high-resolution version of the classic Medal of Honor: Frontline with the PS3 Limited Edition. Dead Space 2’s Limited Edition for PS3 will include a reworked port of Dead Space: Extraction with Move support.

2K Games’ Mafia II will have additional downloadable content available at launch on the PS3. The free exclusive content promises “hours of additional arcade style gameplay."

Finally, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood will not only have an exclusive PS3 multiplayer beta prior to launch, but an exclusive mission pack as well.
