The Kinect was a major focus of Microsoft's 2011 E3 press conference. One of the titles announced was Fable: The Journey, a new title in the series relying upon Kinect for both melee and magical combat in what appeared to be a very linear environment.
Kinect: Disneyland Adventures promised to have an accurate recreation of the theme park it is so named after. Kinect support will let users tour the park and participate in mini-games (like flying through Peter Pan's Neverland).
The previously announced Kinect Star Wars was also demonstrated, showing that it would involve space combat along with lightsaber action. Both types of gameplay looked like the “on rails” variety, though players appeared to have options to dash into and leap over their opponents.
Tim Schafer of Double Fine came out to demonstrate Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster, a storybook game based around the popular children's IP. Co-op play was shown off, allowing kids to play with their mother or father if they so choose.
Kinect Sports Season 2, a sequel to the best selling Rare title, was announced. This new title features six sports in football, golf, baseball, winter skiing, darts and tennis.
Finally, Alex Rigopulos came out to show off Dance Central 2, which will let users play all the songs from the original game. Simultaneous dance options were announced and shown off, with the sequel featuring music from Usher, Rihanna, La Roux, Nicki Minaj, Montell Jordan and more.
