Dragon Quest IX proved that Japan's love affair with the series perpetuates to the modern day, having sold 2.34 million copies the first weekend of availability and doubled the sales of DS hardware. Now, Enterbrain is reporting that sales for Dragon Quest IX have leapt past the three million mark.
The publisher of Famitsu is reporting that Dragon Quest IX has surpassed 3.2 million in sales since the game launched on July 11. This makes the game the fastest selling ever on the DS hardware.
Despite all of this success, there's still no announced release date for the U.S. or Europe. Really Square Enix, how long will we have to wait?
