Batman Game Director Presenting at D.I.C.E.

Posted January 19, 2012 by Ben Strauss

Rocksteady Games’ Sefton Hill, game director on Batman: Arkham City, has been added to the already generous list of speakers at the annual D.I.C.E. Summit this year.  The new speaking engagement will cover design considerations and overall game presentation for Arkham City

D.I.C.E. has also confirmed that EA Senior CG-Supervisor TJ Galda will be speaking. He will discuss nonlinear storytelling for new genre development.

“I can’t think of a better way to set the tone and kick-off the D.I.C.E. Summit than with the big questions that are top of mind for our industry,” said Martin Rae, president, Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences. “This year’s Hot Topics line-up will put some of the most brilliant, opinionated minds in the interactive entertainment industry head-to-head in front of an audience of their peers – and with some of the most provocative topics we’ve seen there’s no telling what we’ll hear! In addition to this powerhouse roundtable, we have some exciting new speakers to announce that will be especially interesting for our creative community.”

The new additions to the speaking lineup will complement the three major debates being hosted by G4’s Adam Sessler.  Analysts Michael Pachter and Jesse Divnich will be speaking on the current publishing model for many games, Sessler will be talking with Kill Screen Magazine’s Jamin Warren on game journalism while Zebra Partners’ Perrin Kaplan will debate with Addmired’s Gabriel Leydon on the mobile and console markets.
