With a bevy of local talent and various governmental incentives, Canada has proven to be hugely appealing for large corporations founding new development studios. Sure enough, Warner Bros. Interactive announced at a press conference today that they will open a studio in Montreal appropriately called WB Games Montreal, which is expected to grow to over 300 employees by 2015.
"With its creative workforce specialized in digital media and its renowned universities, Quebec is the perfect place to develop our new products and technologies,” said Warner Bros. Interactive’s president Martin Tremblay [thanks GameFocus]. “Montreal, with its wealth of talent and highly affordable operating costs, is a wonderful place to continue to expand our growth in gaming."
This new studio will focus on games based on the DC Comics license. Warner Bros. is apparently considering opening another studio in Montreal after this one is established.

Speaking of DC, what ever happened to PS3 exclusive mmo DC Universe? They talked about it last E3(or was that E3 2008) and I haven't heard anything about it since.
