David O. Russell Leaves Uncharted Movie at Altar

Posted August 4, 2010 by David Radd

Reports have been that David O. Russell was being considered for the director's chair for the first Uncharted movie. However, the L.A. Times is reporting that after negotiations with the production studio, terms could not be met and they and Russell have parted ways.

As a consequence of this, the producers (which include Dark Knight veteran Charles Roven) and studio are starting over again from square one. They might even cast a male and female lead before trying to bring on a new director. This move eliminates the possibility that the film could be fast tracked for 2011.
