Singularity, Bayonetta, BioShock 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction and Red Steel 2 have all been conspicuously moved out of the holiday release schedule and into 2010, and they're getting some company. Speaking to Joystiq, Capcom's Chris Kramer confirmed that Dark Void will not be coming out until next year "in order to get the game out of the crowded fall game season."
The game, originally set to release the same day as Halo: ODST, has been solidly moved back until Q1 2010. "The move will be great for the game and for gamers: less competition in the market (curse you, Halo!), more time for polish," said Kramer.
With Halo: ODST, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and Assassin's Creed 2 expected to soak up many of the gaming entertainment dollars this holiday, moving new IPs out of their way probably isn't a bad idea. However, early 2010 is looking increasingly crowded and unless things change, it might serve some of these games to be pushed back a little bit more if it can be afforded.

I was interested in singularity when those sort of viral story vids appeared but the gameplay didn't do it for me. Don't care about Bayonetta nor Bioshock because I having a feeling they would extremely annoy me. I don't even know what red steel is. Splinter Cell: Conviction if I was optimistic would've hoped that delay meant a ps3 version was coming but not likely. I'll buy that for my 360 at some point after it's release. Probably a year. There's always timed exclusive on all platforms. I'll wait and see.
