The rumor mill is churning around Crytek, who might have inadvertently revealed that their next project is going to be launched for the next-generation Xbox. Ryse, revealed at E3 and described as a Kinect-exclusive first-person melee experience in the Roman Empire, is possibly going to an “X-box Next Gen” platform.
Several insider comments lend credence to the idea, chiefly a former employee listing the game as a ‘next gen’ project. There is even more fuel for the fire, with a Crytek employee reportedly telling a group of students that there is a “big chance of Ryse going next gen because of all the work they had to do and all the people they are hiring for the Ryse team."
Still though, neither Microsoft nor Crytek have offered details on the validity of the subject, but with the possibility of a next-gen Kinect, there could definitely be a good chance that the studio’s next title will be ready to go for the next-generation.
