Criterion's Need For Speed Sells 417K Units in November

Posted December 10, 2010 by Ben Strauss

Electronic Arts' latest Need For Speed game, a reboot for the popular Hot Pursuit, sold a total of 417K units in the month of November, it has been revealed. The game was 7th overall in sales for the month of November, which was dominated by Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops.

The title might have been well received, but analyst firm Cowen & Company says that sales were not enough to lift physical sales across EA during the month of November. Sales were down a total of 25% for the publisher.

Still though, NPD November data shows that the gaming industry is up overall by 8%, helping to curb a seven-month slump in sales.
