Catherine Sees 500k Sales

Index, the housing company of Atlus, posted a loss for the fiscal year running from September 1, 2010 through August 31, 2011 according to Andriasang.com. The company saw sales of ¥22.9 billion ($298.18 million) for the last fiscal year, down a third over the same period last year.

Despite decreased sales, losses for the company narrowed significantly to ¥4.5 billion ($58.60 million) from ¥7.4 billion ($96.36) during fiscal 2010. The company's game division that includes Atlus, the mobile oriented Index, and the online division Rosso Index, saw sales of ¥18.5 billion ($240.9 million) and operating profits of ¥2.3 billion ($29.95 million).

In particular, the company noted the strong sales of the Persona series. Also, the company said that Catherine sold 500,000 units in Japan and abroad.
