Capcom has announced that yet another Shrek game will be making it to gamers everywhere, again in the form of a mobile offering. The job is being handled by Beeline Interactive, who has confirmed that their first foray into Shrek mobile gaming was a success.
"We here at Capcom are committed to the development of new and creative social games and plan to take the rapidly expanding mobile market by storm through our two-pronged strategy, Capcom brand and Beeline brand,” said the publisher, in a statement.
Shrek’s Fairytale Kingdom is scheduled for an early 2012 launch window for all iOS devices. Players will have a shot at building up Shrek’s very own little kingdom in the swamps by performing various tasks and quests.
Beeline has seen some rousing success after only forming earlier this year. The big hit in Smurf’s Village helped to get the studio on its feet and eventually push forward with Snoopy’s Street Fair. Both titles have pushed well past 40 million downloads each.
