Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Gets DS Deployment in November

Posted August 3, 2009 by James Brightman

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is likely to be one of the biggest (if not the biggest) selling titles of this upcoming holiday season. Realizing that they have a hot IP, Activision Blizzard is also looking to capitalize on the DS market with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized, which will ship simultaneously with Modern Warfare 2 on November 10.

The game is being developed by n-Space, which previously developed Call of Duty: World at War and Star Wars: Force Unleashed for the portable.  World at War on DS actually received fairly decent reviews and a Metacritic score of 75, so n-Space has shown already that they know how to craft a Call of Duty experience for the Nintendo portable.

Mobilized will offer players "a unique storyline and companion narrative" along with a six-player online multiplayer mode that allows friends to host their own server, a new Survival Mode, and an Arcade Mode, which will let players replay the game’s single-player with a time limit and running score, with extra points awarded for specific achievements.
