Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 may very well become the best selling game of the year after it launches in November, and it's even possible that the title could rack up a third entertainment record for Activision's blockbuster franchise. Certainly the buzz around the game is continuing to show huge interest, as Nielsen has just revealed that MW3 is the "most coveted" among active U.S. gamers.
Nielsen’s Top 20 Games to Watch looked at data from August 21 – September 17, surveying 5,000 active gamers, and 417,433,251 online conversations were examined by NM Incite, which "analyzed the primary elements driving consumers’ online conversations around each title."
MW3 led the pack with 27% of active gamers desiring the game. This was followed by Gears of War 3 and Madden NFL 12, both at 19%. Assassin's Creed: Revelations (17%), Batman: Arkham City (15%) and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (14%) all tracked high with gamers as well.
