Call of Duty: Black Ops To Sneak Up on DS

Posted July 28, 2010 by M.H. Williams

Activision announced today that Call of Duty: Black Ops will see a portable version for the Nintendo DS, releasing the same date as its console brethren, November 9, 2010. The new title will be developed exclusively for the platform by n-Space. The developer previously worked on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized for DS, as well as Call of Duty: World at War, Star Wars: Force Unleashed and more for Nintendo's ubiquitous handheld.

Call of Duty: Black Ops for the Nintendo DS is going to take the handheld Call of Duty experience to a new level,” said Dan O’Leary, Head of n-Space. “From taking the controls of an attack helicopter to flying an experimental stealth fighter jet, players will have a wealth of new features to utilize.”

The game will feature six-player online multiplayer mode with a new specialized Perks System, as well as a two-player Co-Op mode. Additional Arcade and Challenge Modes will let players retry single-player missions to earn extra points to unlock more Perks.
