Activision has confirmed that multiple well known Hollywood actors have provided voiceover work to the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops. Actors Ed Harris and Gary Oldman have credits in the game, with Harris playing CIA agent Jason Hudson and Oldman reprising his role as Viktor Reznov from Call of Duty: World at War.
The script has also been given a Hollywood boost as David S. Goyer has helped out. He is responsible for writing Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.
"Oldman, Harris and Goyer are considered some of Hollywood's finest talents and they perfectly complement Call of Duty: Black Ops' ambitious and immersive single player experience," said Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia.
"Their contributions have helped us to push the boundaries of our story telling and character development far beyond anything we have ever attempted before in the franchise."
Hollywood voice actors, big name screen writers; it all points to Treyarch and Activision trying to make good on analyst predictions of upwards of 11 million copies sold. With pre-order sales through the roof, this game could very well perform to Modern Warfare 2’s level.
