After flying free of Microsoft, Bungie has been keeping quiet on its future plans. Today, the developer announced its “first, small step into the mobile world” with its Bungie.net Mobile app for iOS. The app lets players check their Halo: Reach stats, check in on friends, and browse the newest happenings in the world of Bungie.
“It’s our first, small step into the mobile world. The first of many. It really is just a beginning - our first, super cute baby step. We already have adult-type plans to keep updating Bungie.net Mobile with new features and enhancements in the months and years to come,” the developer wrote in its announcement post.
Bungie has also said that it will reveal the full details of what its recent ‘Bungie Aerospace’ trademark entails. The developer is celebrating its 20th anniversary beginning on June 23 and ending on July 7, which is 'Bungie Day.' A new subsidiary for mobile and online development? Something completely unrelated to games? Only Bungie knows and we have some time before they tell us.
