Bungie Hiring for 'Next Game Universe'

Posted December 2, 2009 by James Brightman

Bungie has yet to truly make up its mind about how much longer it will work on the blockbuster Halo franchise. One thing is clear though; the team sought its independence from Microsoft precisely because it wanted the freedom to work on new non-Halo projects. With Microsoft's 343 Industries overseeing everything Halo now, and Bungie possibly deciding to hang up its Halo boots after Halo Reach, the studio is now focusing on creating a new IP.

Bungie is hiring for all sorts of positions currently, and one job listing in particular mentions defining Bungie's "next game universe." Your guess is as good as ours concerning whatever new type of game Bungie is working. They have a boatload of talent there, however, so we're definitely excited to see what's next from Bungie.
