Joystiq today uncovered that Blockbuster will be adding a "Games by Mail" service. This allows users to add one game rental to their standard movie rental plan for $7.99 plus tax, with the flexibility of not being charged if you don't check out a game.
This allows users to check out a game every month that counts against the total number of discs allowed under whatever subscription plan they have. The plan is targeting Netflix, who offers movie rentals for $8.99 for a single disc at a time, and Gamefly for their $15.95 rate, though the way that Blockbuster is doing as a corporation right now, this may be too little, too late.
