BioWare Helping Maxis with Darkspore

Posted July 26, 2010 by M.H. Williams

Last week, EA unveiled a number of titles including Darkspore, a new spinoff of Spore. The game is a hybrid of Spore’s character generation system and a Diablo-esque action-RPG. Maxis doesn’t have much experience with action-RPGs, having done Sim games for many years now, so they’re turning to another EA studio for help.

According to a Gamespot report on Darkspore’s San Diego Comic-Con reveal, BioWare is lending a hand on the title. The report does not go into the level of help BioWare is providing, but it’s a good sign that Maxis is willing to reach out in a situation where they may be lacking expertise.

Hm, well I hope with Bioware's help they make the game with full audio dialog, I'd buy it if that's the case.
