Big Fish Games Catches One Billionth Download

Posted July 19, 2010 by M.H. Williams

Today, Big Fish Games announced that users have downloaded more than one billion games from its casual gaming portal. This is an industry first for the company that was founded in 2002 and has grown into the leading casual gaming subscription service. The service provides more than 2,500 casual titles through various platforms, including PC, Mac, iOS, Nintendo DS, and Facebook.

“This milestone underscores the strength of our franchise and the growing demand for high-quality games from our Studios and valued developer partners,” said Big Fish Games President Jeremy Lewis. “We look forward to expanding our reach and driving the overall growth of this $2.75 billion casual games market (according to a 2009 Casual Games Association study) by doubling our number of foreign-language sites, introducing our content on new platforms, and adding new distribution channels.”
