Battlefield 3 Pre-Orders At Best Buy Get Pre-Loading Option

Posted October 22, 2011 by M.H. Williams

Best Buy has announced that it'll be jumping into the digital pre-order and pre-load market that's Steam's bread and butter. Steam allows users who have pre-ordered certain titles to download the game prior to the the official launch date, so that when the game is released they can just play. The first title in Best Buy's new program will be EA and DICE's Battlefield 3.

Customers who choose to pre-order Battlefield 3 digitally on BestBuy.com can download the game to their PC from their account profile. Just after midnight on October 25 customers will receive an unlock code for the game, allowing them to hit the ground running.

Best Buy is looking to expand the offering in the future, but no specific titles have been announced.
