Batman: Arkham City 'Just Shy' of Lifetime Arkham Asylum Sales

Posted December 9, 2011 by James Brightman

Batman: Arkham City quickly sold through 2 million copies out of 4.3 million shipped in its first week, and the game continues to climb, according to NPD.

“The critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham City sold well in month two at retail and is now just shy of Batman: Arkham Asylum’s lifetime unit sales,” NPD noted.

The success of the Batman games from Rocksteady has been encouraging Warner Bros to pursue further superhero games. If those games are of similar quality to the Arkham titles, we can't wait!
