While Ubisoft saw slightly depressed sales for its Q3 holiday period, Assassin's Creed II has been a notable bright spot, having already shipped eight million copies worldwide. It should come as no surprise then that the French publisher is expecting the next Assassin's Creed title to come out by April 2011.
An investor call with Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot [thanks Joystiq] reveals that the game will continue the story of Ezio in Renaissance Italy "This time, [Ezio] will strike directly against the Templar's order in Rome," noted Guillemot.
