Assassin's Creed Film Domains Scooped Up By Sony Pictures

Posted October 24, 2011 by M.H. Williams

A few days ago, there was a report that Sony Pictures and Ubisoft were close to signing a deal for the movie rights to Assassin’s Creed.  No further announcement has been made by either party, but Sony Pictures has wasted no time in scooping up domain names related to a possible film.  Fusible is reporting that Sony Pictures registered sixteen domains a day before the original story broke over at Variety.

The full list of domain names includes:

  • assassins-creed-movie.com
  • assassins-creed.net
  • assassins-creedmovie.com
  • assassinscreed-film.com
  • assassinscreed-film.net
  • assassinscreed-movie.com
  • assassinscreed-movie.net
  • assassinscreed-thefilm.com
  • assassinscreed-thefilm.net
  • assassinscreed-themovie.com
  • assassinscreed-themovie.net
  • assassinscreedfilm.com
  • assassinscreedfilm.net
  • assassinscreedthefilm.com
  • assassinscreedthefilm.net
  • assassinscreedthemovie.net

It’s possible the deal is already done, meaning the first question is: who should direct the film?
