Apple Recruits Former Xbox Marketing Executive

Posted February 2, 2012 by Ben Strauss

Apple has scored yet again in the gaming industry, this time recruiting Xbox Live marketing manager Robin Burrowes.  Burrowes has been with Microsoft for close to 7 years now, helping to develop Xbox Live in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

His new job now puts him in the lead for Apple’s App Store, in which he will handle marketing for iTunes Europe.

Burrowes represents the third major poach from within the gaming industry by Apple in less than a year.  Nintendo PR boss Robert Saunders and former Xbox PR rep Nick Grange have all signed on to work with Apple as the company continues to develop a stronger platform for the gaming industry at large.
