Angry Birds Rio Already Downloaded 10 Million Times

Posted April 1, 2011 by Ben Strauss

Rovio has already made a hit out of their sequel title to the hugely popular Angry Birds.  The new Angry Birds Rio has just surpassed 10 million downloads in only 10 days, according to Mobile Entertainment.

The total downloaded number combines both the free and paid versions of the title.

Angry Birds Rio quickly became the top paid app on day one, and the original Angry Birds recently reached an astounding 100 million downloads. The huge success has certainly given Rovio much confidence and has led to some pretty ballsy comments from Rovio’s Peter Vesterbacka.
