Android Subscription Plan Coming To U.K. From Gameloft

Having had its Gameloft Club subscription service running in the United States for a while now, Gameloft has announced the launch of the subscription service in the United Kingdom.  Players can pay £0.99 per week to gain access to one game from Gameloft’s portfolio, with an additional title being given away for a limited time.  The Club is limited to Android HD+ devices.

It’s an interesting revenue model at a time when most developers are going free-to-play with micro-transactions or ad-based on the OS.
