Google has just revealed some statistics regarding the Android OS, saying that over 250 million devices have been activated, representing an overall increase of 50 million since last November. The total number of downloads for the Android Market also surpassed 11 billion.
With new tablets, more devices and more options available to the Android OS, many have been picking up the myriad of apps that are now available for the powerful rival of Apple. PocketGamer has noted that the major increase since last November represents an average of around 5.6 million new device activations per day.
