For over a year now, Amazon has been selling online codes that were redeemable for Xbox Live Arcade games. Today, though, Amazon has stopped selling the codes without any real stated reason. The Xbox live section of Amazon simply explained that the company has discontinued direct sales of all downloadable Xbox 360 games.
Amazon still offers codes that are redeemable for Microsoft Points in denominations of 1,600 ($20) and 4,000 ($50).
The move comes just as GameStop has begun to offer direct-to-console games and downloadable content at its retail locations. The system, though, has yet to find its way to GameStop’s online storefront.

Well amazon has it's on PC download games store. Maybe Amazon only wants to focus on their download platform. Though that wouldn't explain why they still sell psn games unless theirs a contract. Maybe it's a deal Microsoft struck with gamestop or maybe there's not a lot of money split between three parties in selling codes to cheap games. Though that wouldn't explain the gamestop move. Who Knows. No really i'm asking, who knows? Nevermind I don't really care.

Would love some additional context around this story. Someone needs to find out why!
