While Capcom's Dark Void is in its final stages before its release next year, developer Airtight Games seems to be gearing up for even more projects. Kim Swift has taken the role of Project Lead at Airtight Games where she will head up a team that will develop “games aimed at a more diverse audience.”
“We are thrilled to work with Kim,” Jim Deal, President, Airtight Games, said. “Her addition to the team represents a strategic move by Airtight Games into new and broader gaming markets.”
Swift is best known for her work on various Valve projects. She worked with the original team that created the acclaimed Portal and later worked on the development of Left 4 Dead and its sequel.
"I've learned so much and had some amazing experiences at Valve," said Kim. "But when I heard I had the opportunity to work on innovative titles with my friends over at Airtight, I couldn't pass it up."
We’ve pinged Airtight’s reps to find out more about Swift’s new position. "Broader gaming markets" certainly sounds more casual, whereas Dark Void is clearly more traditional hardcore.
