Activision Taps Silicon Knights for X-Men Destiny

Posted October 7, 2010 by M.H. Williams

Today, Activision and Marvel announced X-Men: Destiny, a new choice-driven game developed by Silicon Knights - the Canadian developer behind Too Human (whose fate is still unclear, although it was supposed to be a trilogy). There’s no indication if the new X-Men game is action, adventure, or an RPG.

X-Men: Destiny lets players become “new mutant recruits in a rich, branching storyline that features a deep element of choice and gives players ultimate control of their destiny.” The game will be written by X-Men: Legacy writer Mike Carey.

IGN is hosting the official trailer for the title, and attendees of this week’s New York Comic Con can check the game out at Activision’s booth #1833. Mike Carey will also be revealing more of the story during NYCC’s Marvel Games Panel on Saturday, October 9 at 10:45am in Room 1A06.
