Today we're proud to introduce you to a new feature on IndustryGamers called "Playing Favorites." Although we take ourselves and the business of games very seriously, we're all gamers here too (we ARE called IndustryGamers after all), and we know most of you reading this play games regularly. Whether you're in development, publishing, marketing or another sector, you're working in games because you have a passion for video games. So we thought it would be appropriate to ask some of the top names in gaming to tell us about their favorite games of all-time.
Ted Price, the head of independent developer Insomniac Games (Ratchet & Clank, Resistance), was nice enough to help us get things started with his personal list of favorites, and we couldn't be happier to showcase his picks to the world. Not only does Insomniac continually pump out high quality games, but the developer has also repeatedly been named one of the best small companies to work for. Quality of life for developers is a serious issue in this industry, and we're glad that Insomniac treats its valuable staff with the respect they deserve.
Click on through to read about Ted's 10 favorite games and why he loves each one - he deliberately left out Insomniac titles but said he would have included Resistance and Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal. Ted clearly has great taste in video games, as this is an awesome list...
