IndustryGamers is a big fan of BioWare and its immersive RPGs -- we cannot wait for Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2 -- so it's with great pleasure today that we are able to bring you the second edition of "Playing Favorites," this time featuring Dr. Ray Muzyka, Co-Founder, BioWare and Group General Manager, RPG/MMO Group of EA. We're also planning to post BioWare co-founder Dr. Greg Zeschuk's favorites in the near future. We like to joke that these two are tied at the hip, so we couldn't post one without the other, right?
For someone who's worked on some incredible games, like Baldur's Gate, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Mass Effect, Muzyka has a very interesting list of favorites, and not too surprisingly there are a number of classic RPGs in the mix. He also shares some choices with our first "Playing Favorites" participant Ted Price (be sure to read that one here if you haven't already).
Click on through the following pages to read about Muzyka's top games...

The man has excellent taste in games. As would be expected of any gamer from Alberta. ;-)

I'd like some insight into Warren Spector's gaming tastes (aside from post apocalyptic Disney fare).

Ray, glad you're still enjoying PGMO so much. It's a great game, and good "bucket list" of games. Keep great, innovative products flowing.

They can be good fun, I suppose. I don't really like the cookie-cutter mold and the DARK AND GRITTY direction they went with Dragon Age, but I like most of their games. BG1 was okay for a first, BG2 was excellent, by far my favorite game by them, NWN bored me, KotOR was fun for a while, didn't like Jade Empire, Mass Effect had a nice feel to it, but it wasn't very fun, Dragon Age was a bit over the top, but my fave since BG2, and Mass Effect 2 had a more action-y aspect to it that suited it much better. office cleaning
