I’ve been addicted to any virtual representation of football there is since a young age, since genetics didn’t let me experience the real kind. From Mattel Football, which I still own, to vibrating football where I would paint all the players, and even Foto-Electric Football. I would call myself a “student” of virtual football. I love playing most video game versions of the sport, but my heart belongs to college football - love the teams, love the fight songs. Whereas every year brings a better version, for its time, NCAA 06 was the best of the bunch. It added elements that made the college aspect come alive from the Heisman Race, to real home field advantage, impact players, and the “why’d it go?” feature of the matchup stick.
